How Tilden Preparatory School Assists in the College Admission Process
- Assure that your high school transcript is accurate.
- Alert you to college entrance exam dates
- Administer the PSAT to 10th and 11th graders.
- Inform students and parents via the school’s progress reporting system of college representative visits in the community.
- Inform students and families of local college fairs via the school’s progress reporting system.
- Write letters of recommendation.
- Submit, in a timely manner, School Reports and Mid-Year Reports as required.
- Submit transcripts to colleges as directed by the student/parents, and provide a copy to parents.
- Review and comment on student’s personal statements/essays for colleges.
- Provide students and families with the student’s online course summary, which shows the courses a student must complete by the end of fall and spring semesters in order to remain eligible for college admission.
- Administer extended time SAT/ACT examinations to approved students.
- Provide referrals for professional college counselors if requested.
